HAYLEY CHAN

Hayley Chan is a performer, improviser, and composer from Warrane/Sydney. Having grown up as the only female drummer in her school in Western Sydney, Hayley sought to research gender equality in Sydney’s music scene through her studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, graduating with a Bachelor of Music (First Class Honours) in 2024. Hayley has already made her mark across Australia's East Coast, having performed at the Sydney Opera House, Brisbane Powerhouse and at festivals such as Bigsound, Kiama Jazz and Blues, and Orange Jazz Festival. Showcasing her musical versatility, Hayley has released music with Australian artists such as Monstress, Angel Grindr and Sound the Alarm, and is preparing for the release of her debut solo drumming EP in early 2025.
